My first horse as a toddler was a rocking horse and the horses operated by Coin's in front of Publix. At age 6, I started riding at Camp Keystone in Tampa for six weeks in the summer. I went for eight weeks the next year. I went to Circle F outside of Lake Wales also rode at the Lazy W outside of Lake Alford in the 70s. I worked at the Girl Scout camp, started horseback riding unit with Marnie Ward, Carolyn, Kinsley, and myself. I did eight years of teaching Horseback riding for the Girl Scout Camp .

We got our first horse when I was 9. Through my teens and twenties life happened.  I got my next horse as an adult after my son was born.  I have had Tennesse Walking Horses for the past 25 years.  I learned everything from my dad who was a John Lyons trainer in CO.  I have taught the kids of my family and friends to love, appreciate and ride horses over those years. Seven years ago I became involved in Special Olympics.  I've been a horse handler and trainer for these incredible people ever since. My  joys in life are my family, horses, and children.

I have been part of Rockin’ W Ranch for 9 years.  I started out at the age of 10, participating in Rockin’ W Ranch’s camps. After camp, I began taking horsemanship lessons, advancing though the CHA Level Program, learning how to take care of horses and ride in different disciplines. I also volunteer with the Special Olympics Equestrian Team, and A Heart for Hero’s program. I enjoy teaching horsemanship skills to riders with special abilities, and seeing their accomplishments.

I teach both Western and English levels, offering Horsemanship lessons, based on the CHA guidelines. These lessons include riding, horse care, horse science, and more.

I am a college student so I teach ONLY on Saturdays and/or Sundays, depending on other events.  My lesson schedule is currently FULL, with a waiting list.
